Message from the President of the Iranian Society of Laboratory Scientists
Over the past two decades, the Laboratory and Clinical Congresses have stood as a strategic platform, bringing together leading minds, scholars, and esteemed professors from the fields of clinical and laboratory medicine in our country. These congresses have played a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and coordination between these two essential sectors of the healthcare system, resulting in significant advancements.
In keeping with this tradition, the society has organized fifteen successful congresses to date, and the sixteenth congress will be held from December 21st to 23rd, 2024, at the Razi International Conference Center, Iran University of Medical Sciences. This year’s congress will cover all aspects of laboratory medicine, with a central theme of “Novel Laboratory Approaches in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Diseases.” Esteemed professors from both clinical and laboratory disciplines will lead the event, with the participation of various member associations from our society, alongside corresponding clinical associations, forming specialized panels.
In previous congresses, national and international experts have shared valuable insights, providing analyses from both clinical and laboratory perspectives. These multidisciplinary discussions were well-received by participants, and the congresses have undoubtedly strengthened the relationship between physicians and laboratory professionals, fostering mutual understanding of each other’s challenges. This enhanced cooperation will undoubtedly continue to generate innovative, scientific solutions.
We hope that this year’s congress will not only address the ongoing challenges in laboratory sciences education but also explore new opportunities for the diagnosis and management of clinical conditions through cutting-edge laboratory approaches. The accompanying workshops are also anticipated to offer enriching experiences for all participants.
I warmly invite all professors, experts, researchers, laboratory fellows, technicians, specialists, and students across various fields of laboratory sciences, as well as physicians, professors, and clinical specialists, to join this significant scientific event. I also encourage you to contribute by submitting your valuable abstracts, ensuring the continued success of this diverse and comprehensive congress.
